Dr. Duri Long’s paper “Conducting Remote Design Research on Embodied, Collaborative Museum Exhibits” was awarded the best case study honorable mention award at the 2023 CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems. Dr. Long’s paper describes her process of adapting an in-person study of user interaction with embodied, collaborative museum exhibits to a remote user study during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as inspiration and considerations for other researchers who may need to adapt their work to remote contexts.
